Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounting Clerk to assist with day-to-day accounting operations. This role will support the Finance & Administration Manager by managing routine financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and handling various administrative tasks.

Reports to the Finance & Administration Manager

Key Responsibilities

  •  Bookkeeping
    • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and maintaining the general ledger.
    • Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, and customer payments in a timely manner.
    • Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a monthly basis.
    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  •  Data Entry and Record Keeping
    • Enter financial transactions into the company’s accounting system (e.g., Oracle NetSuite).
    • Organize and maintain financial documents, receipts, and records.
    • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  •  Support for Financial Operations
    • Assist in preparing and processing statutory remittances (GST, PST, HST, etc.).
    • Provide support during quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
  •  Administrative Support
    • Assist with general office administration tasks, including ordering supplies and managing office organization. 
    • Support the HR administration process, including maintaining employee records and assisting with employee on/off boarding.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
  •  Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
    • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) is a plus
  • Skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to handle competing priorities in a timely manner
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in our Vancouver, BC Head Office, offering a collaborative, open office environment with occasional work-from-home flexibility.
