Account-Based Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Manager to drive our targeted marketing efforts. The ABM Manager will be responsible for developing and executing tailored marketing strategies for key accounts to establish and deepen relationships with strategic customers. This role requires close collaboration across all functions, especially the sales team, to align marketing initiatives with sales goals and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B marketing, with specific experience in account-based marketing strategies.

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Design and implement account-based marketing strategies aimed at key accounts to deepen client engagement and increase revenues. Drive the strategy from the front together with sales, leading all aspects of content strategy and creation throughout the ABM strategy.
  • Collaboration and Sales Alignment: Work closely across functions to align marketing efforts with company objectives and create a seamless customer experience. Collaborate closely with sales to create and drive the ABM strategy and content creation, anticipating and preparing the materials needed to support sales at each stage of the sales cycle. Facilitate regular meetings and ensure strong alignment between the sales and marketing teams, ensuring ABM strategies are fully integrated with sales efforts and goals.
  • Campaign and Content Execution: Manage and execute simultaneous ABM campaigns tailored to specific key accounts, utilizing various channels to engage decision-makers. Oversee the creation of personalized content and marketing materials, including case studies, presentations, and tailored communications. Oversee content marketing initiatives such as white papers and industry blogs to build authority and trust with our target audience.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor the ABM team, including a Marketing Designer and ABM Coordinator, to drive the execution of ABM strategies while championing our core values. Provide coaching and feedback to ensure the team is aligned with company goals and foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market and industry research to understand trends, challenges, and opportunities in our target market, ensuring our strategies are aligned with market demands. Develop a deep understanding of competitors to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Performance Management: Utilize our company ERP system (Oracle NetSuite) and other tools to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of account-based marketing campaigns, providing regular reports on campaign performance and insights on how to improve future campaigns. Manage budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring maximum ROI on ABM initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts. Help build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within target accounts, ensuring continuous engagement and long-term partnership development.
  • Account Intelligence: Gather and analyze data on target accounts to develop insights into business needs and decision-making processes, enabling personalized campaign development and identification of opportunities for account growth and retention.
  • Pitches and Proposals: Drive the development of pitches, proposals, and presentations for target accounts, leveraging your understanding of the account, sales cycle, and ABM strategy to determine suitable content and materials.
  • Technology and Tools Proficiency: Ensure the marketing team is proficient with essential CRM, ERP, and marketing automation tools. Lead efforts to stay current with relevant marketing technologies and trends, providing continuous training for the team where appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing ABM strategies.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing ideas.
  • Strong background in marketing, including content creation, campaign management, and digital marketing.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a B2B marketing role, with at least 2 years focused on account-based marketing.
  • Experience working closely with sales teams with a strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics within large accounts.
  • Proficient in CRM or ERP software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) and marketing automation tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making and marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with the QSR and restaurant industry is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This is a full-time position based in our Vancouver, BC Head Office, offering a collaborative, open office environment.
